WHY I DO WHAT I DO...
Growing up, I definitely wasn't ‘sporty’ and I certainly didn’t enjoy exercise. I was a typical 90's kid who grew up thinking that fad diets and sporadic but high intensity exercise programmes were the only way to achieve 'fitness'. However, in my early 20’s, weight training became an integral part of my life and became a way for me to manage and alleviate symptoms of anxiety. Alongside the improvement that an effective training programme had on my mental health, there were undeniable improvements in my physical health, strength, physique and self-esteem too.

Prior to retraining as a Personal Trainer, I completed my Psychology degree and worked for 10 years in the mental health & addictions field. Fast forward to now; I am a mum of two with over 6 years' experience as a Level 3 Personal Trainer. I also have further qualifications in pre & post natal exercise, nutrition & boxing padwork, and a huge passion for women's health.
Pairing my background in psychology with my expertise in women's health and fitness, I adopt a person-centred approach to Personal Training. This means that I'm able to explore and address the physical, psychological and biological training needs of my clients to ensure that every training programme is unique and provides the best possible results.​ We will work together to identify, forecast and tackle any potential barriers to progress (such as sleep quality, self-care, nutrition, hydration, mental health, childcare, stress management and prioritisation to name a few), allowing a sustainable lifestyle change to take place without sacrificing the things that you enjoy.
Through taking the time to fully understand your body, needs, goals and circumstances I am able to place just as much focus on supporting you to build internal strength, resilience and wellbeing as I do on helping you to achieve the aesthetic results that you desire.

My primary goal as your Personal Trainer is to ensure that you feel empowered, informed & able to sustain your results. I will support you in breaking free from diet culture & extreme exercise programmes, fuelling your body for optimal performance & health, and finding a training programme that you truly love.
